1995-2004 2wd Toyota Tacoma Bumpsteer Kit
Finally, a solution to your dropped 2wd 5-lug Taco's bump steer issues! With this kit, you can run the rod end on top of the spindle or on the bottom, allowing more control over your steering geometry. This kit will work on everything from stock height trucks to bagged and bodied trucks.
We have our sleeves custom made from 6061 aluminum by a local machine shop. We use ptfe lined chromoly rod ends with grade 8 zinc plated hardware and the kits are assembled right here in the USA. The older design used a jam nut, the new design is put together using only red locktite.
*Please allow 2-3 days for order processing. I'm a one man operation, so I typically only fill orders Monday and Thursday mornings. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Fabrication: You will need to drill out your bottom ball joint to 5/8". You may also need to shave the edge of your spindle if the sleeve makes contact, it's usually very minmal. Alignment is the hardest part of modified suspension and steering geometry, so a fair amount of tuning is involved to get the desired outsome. Factory alignment specs for a tacoma are terrible and will result in a very bad ride. You need a few degrees of positive caster, typically between 2-3*.
