Toyota pickup rear disk brake kit
Rear disk brake kit for 1979-2004 5 lug Toyota pickups and Tacomas. This kit uses fc3s rx7 10.75" rotors machined to fit the 67mm toyota hub. It also features 4 piston Wilwood dynalite low profile calipers, which clear 15" wheels with no issues.
Available in single caliper and dual caliper, red calipers or black. Kits come with brake lines, fittings and everything else needed for install. There is no parking brake available with this style caliper but you can use a hydro handbrake on the dual caliper setup to retain a parking brake.
Instructions:
Remove axles and all braking components from backing plates. Seperate axles and backing plates and remove backing plates. You can seperate the plate enough to cut the plate off if you're about that life, but doing it the right way means you can replace the bearing and inner seal, which often leaks. Up to you...
Installation is pretty straight forward. Bolt the rotor on with a few lug nuts so it sits flush. Bolt the caliper to the bracket starting with 3 shims (you'll need to center the caliper on the rotor as much as possible) and the bolts going towards the inside of the axle. Make sure the caliper is centered on the rotor and run the bracket bolts from the inside of the axle towards the outside of the truck. This allows room for the hose bracket to clear the head of the bolt. One it's centered, drop the pads in and install the lines. Bleed and bed pads properly and that's it. Now you have badass brakes.
Dual Caliper peeps: Same as above but you have an inside and outside bracket. The outside bracket goes to the outside of the axle (towards the wheel), the inside goes inside of the axle towards the center section. The front bracket will have extra 1/4 risers to compensate for the thickness of the outside bracket, but everything else with the installation is the same.
